First Students is our middle school and high school ministry here at FBC Douglasville. We are committed to the vision and mission of the church to glorify God by making disciples who make disciples. We believe in the power of the Gospel to save and transform lives. We value Christ centered teaching and discipleship, strong community, and missions. We provide numerous opportunities throughout the year for students to connect with one another, mature in their faith, and minister to others.

That’s why once a month we encourage our students to serve in other ministries (Children’s, preschool, library, choir, Middle School night of worship, various service project.)

D - Groups

D-Groups are in-depth discipleship groups of 3-5 students and 1-2 adults. The groups are gender and age specific. As modeled by Christ, we believe that the best way for students to grow spiritually (and all believers for that matter) is in the context of other like-minded believers. D-Groups are designed to facilitate and foster greater spiritual maturity by providing weekly gathering which will include prayer, accountability, relevant curriculum, spiritual equipping and encouragement. The Switch

6:30pm- Worship and Talk in the Switch (6th grade only)

The switch is a unique ministry here at FBC Douglasville. We believe that the transition from children ministry into youth ministry is a crucial time. That is why we have created a ministry exclusively for our sixth graders. Three times a month on Wednesday night our sixth graders meet for their own unique worship service and bible study in their own separate space. On the 4th Wednesday of every month the 6th grade joins the rest of the middle schoolers for a Middle School only night of worship.
